experimentaci\u00f3n.<br>El <strong>23 de marzo de 1840<\/strong>, un m\u00e9dico y qu\u00edmico llamado <strong>John William Draper<\/strong> consigui\u00f3 algo que cambiar\u00eda para siempre la historia de la astronom\u00eda: <strong>tomar la primera fotograf\u00eda exitosa de la <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Luna\">Luna<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su logro marc\u00f3 el nacimiento de la <strong>astrofotograf\u00eda<\/strong>, una disciplina que hoy nos permite capturar con precisi\u00f3n el brillo de galaxias, nebulosas y planetas\u2026 pero que comenz\u00f3 con una imagen borrosa y m\u00e1gica de nuestro sat\u00e9lite natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udd2c \u00bfQui\u00e9n fue John William Draper?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_William_Draper\">John William Draper<\/a><\/strong> (1811 \u2013 1882) fue un <strong>m\u00e9dico, cient\u00edfico y profesor de qu\u00edmica<\/strong> en la <strong>Universidad de Nueva York<\/strong>.<br>Apasionado por la luz y sus efectos, combin\u00f3 sus conocimientos de qu\u00edmica con la reci\u00e9n nacida t\u00e9cnica del <strong>daguerrotipo<\/strong> \u2014el primer proceso fotogr\u00e1fico pr\u00e1ctico\u2014 para experimentar con la captura de im\u00e1genes astron\u00f3micas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\ud83e\udde0 <em>Draper no solo fue pionero en la astrofotograf\u00eda; consigui\u00f3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La fotograf\u00eda fue tomada el <strong>23 de marzo de 1840<\/strong>, desde el observatorio de la Universidad de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Draper utiliz\u00f3 un <strong>telescopio reflector de 13 pulgadas<\/strong> de apertura y una <strong>exposici\u00f3n de 20 minutos<\/strong> sobre una placa de <strong>daguerrotipo<\/strong> \u2014una superficie met\u00e1lica recubierta de plata fotosensible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante esos 20 minutos, el movimiento de la Tierra y las limitaciones del equipo hac\u00edan casi imposible obtener una imagen n\u00edtida, pero Draper lo logr\u00f3: una silueta reconocible de la Luna, con zonas brillantes y oscuras que mostraban sus cr\u00e1teres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\ud83c\udf19 <em>Aunque borrosa, aquella imagen fue la primera evidencia de que el hist\u00f3rico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un a\u00f1o antes, en <strong>1839<\/strong>, el inventor franc\u00e9s <strong>Louis Jacques Mand\u00e9 Daguerre<\/strong> \u2014creador del daguerrotipo\u2014 intent\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n fotografiar la Luna, pero <strong>su intento fracas\u00f3<\/strong> debido a problemas de seguimiento y vibraciones del telescopio.<br>La imagen result\u00f3 borrosa y sin detalles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso, la captura de Draper en 1840 se considera <strong>la primera fotograf\u00eda astron\u00f3mica exitosa<\/strong> y el inicio oficial de la <strong>astrofotograf\u00eda moderna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\ud83d\udcf7 <em>Gracias a su trabajo, se abri\u00f3
